Liverpool’s preparations for their Champions League knockout tie against Bayern Munich have been hampered by absentees.
Record signing Virgil van Dijk is suspended due to the yellow card picked up in the final group game against Napoli, while Dejan Lovren is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Joe Gomez is a long-term absentee as he recovers from a broken leg and Roberto Firmino did not train on Monday ahead of the clash at Anfield.
As well as that, Xherdan Shaqiri is also a slight doubt to face his former club due to an abdominal injury.
Although the sight of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back on the training field will be well received by Kopites, the former Arsenal midfielder is unlikely to feature until April at the earliest.
With Jurgen Klopp admitting Fabinho may well play at the back for the Reds, the question that remains is who will replace the influential Firmino up front?
