Arsenal legend David Seaman will be supporting north London rivals Tottenham in their crucial clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight.
The ex-England goalkeeper explained that he wants Spurs to nick points off the Blues in order to help his former club in their race for the top four.
Arsenal, who face Bournemouth at the Emirates tonight, could be overtaken by Chelsea in the Champions League spots if results go against them.
And Seaman admits, due to the extraordinary circumstances, he will be a Spurs fan for one night only.
“Only tonight and only for selfish reasons!” he told talkSPORT.
“I want Tottenham to win because I don’t think Arsenal, Chelsea, or Manchester United will catch them. The top three is sorted.
“Obviously the next place is the most important for us, so that’s why I want Tottenham to take points off Chelsea tonight.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri faces a huge decision on whether to drop goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after his sensational act of defiance during Sunday’s Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City.
The Spaniard, 24, was fined a week’s wages and admitted he made a ‘big mistake’ after he refused to be substituted in the dying moments of extra-time.
And while Seaman thinks Kepa should start the London derby at Stamford Bridge tonight, he admits the goalkeeper’s behaviour was shocking.
“Kepa showed a lack of respect for his team-mates and his manager,” he added.
“He was suspended from the goalkeepers’ union and placed on gardening leave after that reaction!”
