WWE ran into some issues during an NXT live event last night. NXT was in town for a show in Omaha, Nebraska when two different injuries occurred. According to fans in attendance, Raul Mendoza appeared to receive an injury during his match, but referee Tom Castor broke his leg while refereeing a match between Tyler Breeze and The Velveteen Dream. The referee was visibly hurt during the match, but he continued to officiate the contest up until the very end. Afterwards, he threw up the “X” sign for himself, summoning medical personnel to carry him backstage for further evaluation. Castor’s NXT peers have praised him for continuing to do his job despite the injury, Photos and videos of Castor can be seen down below:

Earlier this week, WWE moved Dean Ambrose’s profile over to the alumni section on their website. This would seem to signal that his time with the company has come to an end for now. However, Chris Jericho has officially invited the former WWE Champion to All Elite Wrestling. During an interview with Express.co.uk, Jericho was asked about Ambrose’s next move in wrestling. Jericho said that he has not spoken with Ambrose in a long time, but he would still be “more than welcome” to join AEW if that is what he wanted to do. Jericho believes that Ambrose’s talents would mix well with the other AEW roster members. It has been reported in the past that Ambrose is likely finished with wrestling altogether for at least a little while now.
“[Ambrose] is a star, he’s a great performer, he’s a great character. I think he would mix right in with those guys. When you get a great performer, it doesn’t matter what company they were with before because they’re at a top level.” Jericho said.
The most talked about moment from this week’s episode of Raw has undoubtedly been Bray Wyatt’s return to television. Wyatt returned with a new look and character, which appears to be a children’s television show host with a bit of a sinister side to him. WWE fans were shocked to see Wyatt return with this new character, and some of the wrestlers backstage in WWE were as well. WWE released some footage from UpUpDownDown of Seth Rollins and Cesaro talking about the latest episode of HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” While they were talking, Wyatt’s return aired in the background. The two wrestlers could not help but pause their discussion and react to Wyatt’s comeback. Check it out in the video posted below:
