Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri’s future is looking increasingly bleak after their 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
The Blues were blown away by two first-half goals, with Paul Pogba registering a goal and an assist in a superb midfield performance.
Sarri, though, infuriated supporters with his players putting in another below-par performance.
It provoked some fans to chant ‘f*** Sarriball’ as they grow frustrated by their team under the Italian manager who once again showed he lacked a plan B when he made three like-for-like substitutions.
There was also ire directed towards him for leaving Callum Hudson-Odoi on the bench when the talented youngster has the ability to change a game.
And now he’s as short a 1/5 to be turfed out of Stamford Bridge having being priced at 4/5 prior to kick-off in the world’s most famous domestic cup competition.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “The FA Cup tie was an opportunity for Maurizio Sarri to prove some of his doubters wrong, but all it did was reiterate his weaknesses.
“Like-for-like substitutions and seemingly lacking any plan B, this Chelsea side look in dire straits and Sarri doesn’t appear to be the man to get them out of it.
“Another drubbing from City on Sunday would surely be the end for him, but plenty are starting to think he won’t even get that chance.”
