Oleksandr Zinchenko was denied the chance to hold the Carabao Cup by his Manchester City team-mates after his side’s penalty shoot-out victory against Chelsea on Sunday.
The Ukrainian full-back infamously knocked the Premier League trophy off its plinth last season amidst City’s frantic title celebrations and it appeared as if was punished for his clumsiness at Wembley.
Zinchenko was one of Pep Guardiola’s standout performers in the victory, playing all 120 minutes of the affair, but even a commanding performance on the left side of defence did not merit him lifting the trophy from the royal box.
The clip shows his fellow defenders Aymeric Laporte and Nicolas Otamendi jubilantly holding the cup but refuse to celebrate with their counterpart – and Zinchenko is seen enviously scratching his head behind them.

However, the full-back deservedly got his hands on the the trophy in the end.
He is enjoying a good run in the side due to the absence of the injured Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph.
However, Guardiola’s men will not be celebrating for long – with a crucial home fixture against West Ham up next on Wednesday.
