Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women, according to CNN.
The outlet reports that 8 women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against the Oscar-winning actor; 8 other witnesses spoke with CNN about the alleged inappropriate behavior, which is purported to have taken place over the course of his long Hollywood career.

The allegations include repeated, unwanted, and inappropriate touching as well as unsolicited “comment on our bodies.” A production assistant on the set of Freeman’s 2017 comedy, Going In Style, says that the 80-year-old (then 78) “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.” She says that Freeman only stopped after co-star Alan Arkin “made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn’t know what to say.”
In a statement, Freeman said: “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
Freeman is one of a growing number of Hollywood’s leading men who have been accused of inappropriate sexual misconduct on film sets since the Harvey Weinstein scandal first broke in October of 2017.
