Ligue 1 side Montpellier HSC remain in the race to sign Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Keagan Dolly, having tabled a €1.5m offer for the player.

The player was understood to have an initial release clause of €733k, but the South African side claimed then that an official had made a mistake in transferring details from one contract to another and that the buy-out clause was in fact €1.5m.

Olympiakos and Al Ahly are also interested in the player. However, the Sundowns are now looking for €1.7m in order to part with the player, according to KingFut.

The situation is a mess, in no situation does the South African outfit appear to have a legal right to demand that much money. However, after Dolly recently lost a battle with the club in front of the South Africa Dispute Resolution Chamber, it seems as if Montpellier might have to give in to the Sundowns’ demands.
