Speaking to Canal Football Club, PSG Sporting Director Leonardo discussed the fact that the club is facing 6 COVID-19 positive cases in the 1st team squad – all players infected contracted the disease during holiday in Ibiza.
“People are giving the impression that we somehow invented COVID-19. They are players with their wives and children. It gives off an image that does not correspond with reality. I hate Instagram. The problem at its core is organising the opening weekend for the French league on the same day as the Champions’ League final. For me, it is incomprehensible. Afterwards, you delay the match because we make the semi-finals. It becomes a problem. All the other European leagues are going to start on the 12th or 13th of September.”
