L’Équipe have confirmed reporting from O Dia that Ligue 1 side Montpellier are closing in on a deal for 21-year-old central defender Thuler from Flamengo.
The deal will be a loan with an option to buy starting this summer. The loan will run for 12 months, with a €4.7m option.
The former Brazilian U20s international is very interested in completing the move to succeed 43-year-old central defender Hilton, who is likely to retire at the end of this season.
