Lyon-based paper Le Progrès report today that the club are interested in signing in-form Lens midfielder Séko Fofana.
The Ivorian midfielder, who is under contract in the north of France until 2024, is particularly an option should Houssem Aouar and Lucas Paquetá leave over the summer.
Lens had already received offers for their captain – who was named Get French Football News’ player of the year in the 2021 GFFN 100 – notably from Burnley, which was turned down as the club look to secure a place in European competition at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has 9 goals and one assist in what has been a stellar campaign, attracting no shortage of potential suitors for next summer.
