L’Équipe are reporting that Leeds United are interested in Bordeaux’s Honduran striker Alberth Elis (26), with the recently relegated French side desperately needing to offload players.
Amongst a whole raft of players expected to depart Bordeaux this summer is Elis. The attacking player is “attracting the interest of Leeds United,” according to L’Équipe.
Elis scored 9 goals in Ligue 1 in just 16 league starts as the side finished bottom of the table. He is one of three high-profile assets, alongside Ui-Jo Hwang (29) and Junior Onana (22), who will likely have to be sold in order for the club to comply with French financial controls.
