According to L’Équipe Keylor Navas (36) is finally set to join Premier League side Nottingham Forest following several hours of negotiation between the two clubs – the Costa Rican managed to convince PSG to let him move to England and found an agreement on the financial details of the move.
RMC Sport reported that negotiations were still ongoing over the move, after looking in doubt earlier in the day. Although the Costa Rican international had agreed in principle to the move to the Premier League, the format of the deal, whether it be permanent or a loan, was yet to be decided between the two clubs.
The transfer was considered complex and could have gone down to the wire. Navas, a triple Champions League winner, had been second-choice at PSG since the start of the season, when Gianluigi Donnarumma was officially named the number one.
Last season, the two had shared game time equally, but this campaign, the 36-year-old had only appeared in cup games. Despite this, Navas had made over a hundred appearances in the French capital, winning two Ligue 1 titles. However, it appeared that he was set to leave the club either during the winter transfer window or in the summer.
