As noted, Woken Matt Hardy vs Bray Wyatt will be taking place at the WWE 205 Live house show events taking place the weekend of January 18th. The events will be headlined by Enzo Amore vs Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight Title, with special guest referee Nia Jax.
Dave Meltzer speculated on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Matt Hardy and Wyatt have been added to the events likely due to sluggish tickets sales, and because the events will be attended more by “hardcore wrestling fans”, the cult-like Woken Hardy has been added to the card.
Hardy commented on appearing at the events with the following Tweet:
I shall be working TIRELESSLY on these Eves. Not only must I DELETE the DASTARDLY @WWEBrayWyatt & the HORRENDOUS #SisterAbigail, I must also COUNSEL a MYRIAD of individuals who suffer from the POTENT Spot Monkey ADDICKKTION..
