Former WWE Superstar Brian Christopher Lawler (aka Grandmaster Sexay) has been hospitalized following an alleged suicide attempt, according to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.
Lawler was arrested earlier this month for driving while under the influence of alcohol. According to TMZ, the former tag team champion attempted to escape from the arresting officer, but was eventually apprehended near his home in Tennessee with an open container of alcohol in his cup holder.
Following his arrest, Lawler was taken to the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department in Bolivar, TN where he remained for the last few weeks until attempting to take his own life. Per Johnson’s report, Lawler’s situation is “dire” and family members have already begun to gather in order to say their goodbyes. WWE has been informed of the situation.
