Triple H went live immediately after NXT Takeover: Phoenix went off the air. The Game offered his take on the entire event, including the two title changes that took place.

The NXT Tag Team Championships were decided when The War Raiders took on The Undisputed Era in the first match of the night. The contest is an early Match of the Year candidate as Hanson and Rowe pulled out all the stops to win the gold.

Ricochet lost the NXT North American Championship in another match that must be considered one of 2019’s best thus far. Johnny Gargano was the man that stepped up and walked away with the title.

NXT Women’s champion Shayna Baszler retained her title against Bianca Belair in a match that showcased the challenger’s heart. Belair may not have won the belt but she proved that she definitely belongs in the same conversation as the best women’s wrestlers in the company.

Matt Riddle defeated Kassius Ohno for the third time in a hard-hitting match. The Original Bro fought against the odds many times throughout the match and in the end, Ohno was forced to tap out.

But the main event is the match that may just stand out from the rest. Tommaso Ciampa is still the NXT champion after beating Aleister Black. Both men brought everything they had to the match and the bout actually ended with Ciampa standing side-by-side with his former DIY tag team partner, Johnny Gargano.
