This week’s episode of The Road to Double or Nothing takes you behind the scenes of All Elite Wrestling to meet some of the unsung heroes and professionals that help the fledgling promotion operate from day to day.
That list includes VP of Business Strategy Chris Harrington and Chief Merchandise Officer Dana Massie, who prior to coming on board with AEW had been handling the monstrous task of overseeing the Young Bucks merch empire for many years.
The new episode also explores the idea of “family” in All Elite Wrestling, as Cody Rhodes discusses working with his best friend and wife, Chief Branding Officer Brandi Rhodes, and the Young Bucks talk about their careers being a family affair ever since their dad built them a wrestling ring as teenagers. The video is also dedicated to Luke Perry, the father of AEW star Jungle Boy, who passed away earlier this week.
In terms of announcements it’s a bit of slow week, but Cody has officially confirmed independent wrestler Ace Romero for the Over Budget Battle Royale. And to be fair, they also announced AEW Fight for the Fallen, their second event set to take over Jacksonville this summer, so we’ll give them a pass on being light on the breaking news.
