Night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14 saw the “Switchblade” Jay White blatantly rob Kota Ibushi of a consolation victory at this year’s Tokyo Dome double-header.
The two were forced into a rematch of their incredible 2019 G1 Climax finale after each lost their respective championship matches on night one – White dropping the IWGP Intercontinental title to Tetsuya Naito, and Ibushi coming up short to the “Rainmaker”, Kazuchika Okada.
Ibushi was a pillar of stone throughout the match, seemingly unfazed by even White’s best attempts at offense. It took the “Switchblade” several bouts of interference from Bullet Club manager (and NJPW head booker) Gedo, the referee being pulled from the ring twice, a pair of brass knuckles and finally a steel chair to the head.

But it wasn’t all good news for Bullet Club at the Dome. Earlier in the night, KENTA lost the NEVER Openweight Championship in a physical battle against Hirooki Goto of the CHAOS faction.
