WWE management has high hopes for Johnny Nitro. They think he has big-time potential in regards to being a major star. In the eyes of management, he was considered to be the biggest switch in the WWE Supplemental Draft. The word backstage is that Johnny Nitro was moved to ECW to separate him from real life girlfriend Melina because they believe that she is major distraction towards his growth as a performer due to her bad social behavior and reputation. He is a nice guy that gets along with everyone and management thinks he deserves a push and thus they are giving him a chance. Furthermore, several people felt he was associated with MNM too much. He will now be allowed to stand on his own and concentrate on bringing his work to the next level. And as noted before, ECW is now mainly seen as a developmental place to make stars, and when they get over enough, be moved to Raw or SmackDown.

People also have the same feelings for Kenny Dykstra. Many felt that the Spirit Squad exposed him as a green worker and on SmackDown he’ll now have an opportunity to learn and grow. He will likely get a slow push as a heel on the brand.

CM Punk was said to be okay after landing on his head due to a Marcus Cor Von powerslam Tuesday night. You can see an animation file of the botch at this link. Now Elijah Burke on the otherhand, actually injured his back during his match with Chris Benoit. Burke was limping around afterwards and was going to be re-evaluated later in the week.
