— There is apparently a rumor going around saying WWE surprised Mickie James with the degrading “Piggy James” video on last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown without informing her of their intentions beforehand. This rumor is false as James took part in a run through of the segment earlier that day.
— As reported earlier, former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers received tryouts with WWE prior to last Tuesday’s SmackDown/ECW taping in Philadelphia. The brothers Briscoe are currently under contract to ROH and were granted permission to tryout. In an update on the situation, WWE officials were impressed with their tryout and they have been called back to tryout again for further evaluation.
— A match pitting WWE United States Champion The Miz against Santino Marella was taped prior to tonight’s Monday Night Raw broadcast in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It will air on this Thursday’s episode of WWE Superstars.
