As fans continue to wait for word on when former WWE Superstar CM Punk will make his first walk to the Octagon, UFC President Dana White shed a bit of light on the situation this weekend.

While hosting a UFC Fight Club Q&A in Melbourne, Australia ahead of Saturday’s UFC 193: Rousey vs. Holm pay-per-view, White was asked when Punk will make his UFC fighting debut.

“He’ll fight — I’m going to say before summer. Probably before summer,” said White. He continued, “Listen, he doesn’t have any fights yet, man. Let him take his time and work his way in.”

While not confirmed, if true, that would place Punk in a perfect spot to make his debut at the landmark UFC 200 event, which is scheduled for the new Las Vegas Arena on Saturday, July 2, 2016.

Punk was originally shooting for a UFC debut at the end of 2015 or the very beginning of 2016, however a recent shoulder injury suffered during training at Roufusport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin delayed his plans.
