Ring of Honor has high hopes for CM Punk to return for their Madison Square Garden show, which is co-promoted with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and will go down during WrestleMania 35 weekend next year.
Though it’s a long shot, the company has reportedly reached out to Punk, and as of now are still waiting for a response.
UFC 225 featured Punk’s second Octagon appearance and marked a second loss for the former WWE Superstar, as he was defeated by Mike Jackson. Prior to the fight, Punk reiterated that he was “done” with pro wrestling during media interviews.
Moving on to other ventures, Punk can be seen alongside wife AJ Lee in the upcoming horror flick, Rabid, which is a remake of the 1977 David Cronenberg movie of the same name.
The ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard is scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 6, 2018.
