As previously reported, WWE canceled the Post-Smackdown Live weekly show Talking Smack about a week ago. This is reportedly due to a decision by Vince McMahon. Technically, it was said that the show has not been canceled, but instead it has been scaled back after Mr. McMahon was unhappy with the June 11th episode and overall, the show wasn’t doing great numbers on the WWE network, despite being a first-run show.
According to sources within the WWE, the word backstage is that WWE Officials are denying the report going around that Vince hates Talking Smack. They even added the fact that Vince doesn’t even watch Talking Smack, but gets a weekly report each Wednesday after the show.
Finally, the sources said that the only episode which apparently didn’t sit well with Vince McMahon was theMay 23rd episode where The New Day appeared after Kofi Kingston was cleared to return to the ring. Vince felt that the team’s first Tuesday appearance should have happened on Smackdown Live itself rather than Talking Smack.
