Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss competed against each other during a WWE live event in Abu Dhabi recently. The match is already a historic one since it marks the first time ever that two female WWE Superstars have competed in the Middle East. To keep up with local customs and laws, the two women wore gear that covered much of their bodies during the match. Though Bliss defeated Banks to retain the Raw Women’s Championship, Banks gave an emotional interview afterwards when discussing the match. Several personalities from within the company, including Vince McMahon and Triple H, have offered their congratulations to the two women of the Raw roster.

Angelina Love has been competing for Impact Wrestling from time to time for a number of years now. She has truly become one of the most recognized Knockouts in the history of the company. As such, some may be surprised to learn that Love was supposed to make her WWE debut back in 2006. Love discussed the topic on a recent edition of the Pancakes and Powerslams Show, and she revealed that she was originally scheduled to portray Matt Hardy’s onscreen girlfriend after he spotted her in the front row of a Smackdown show. “I was standing there, so happy and clapping, and he would [come over] and say, ‘who’s this blonde girl?’, and eventually I would end up being his girlfriend. We’re like minutes, if not less, of my segment starting, and the guy, the floor manager who planted me, patted me on the shoulder, pulled me over and said ‘your segment got cut.’ [Eventually] I was told that as soon as the show started, Vince rewrote the whole show.” Love revealed. She also discussed topics such as her most recent stint in Impact Wrestling.
WWE has been on a tour in the Middle East for the past few days, and the company already made history when Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss, two female performers, competed in Abu Dhabi for the first time ever. WWE has since made another huge announcement: the company has signed two Middle Eastern performers. Triple H confirmed today that Nasser Alruwayeh and Shadia Bseiso are officially WWE roster members. Alruwayeh is the first person from Kuwait to be signed by the company, while Bseiso is a television presenter and has a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Middle East. Bseiso is also the first native-born Arab female Middle Eastern personality to sign with the company.

Another historic moment here in #WWEAbuDhabi as we welcome @shadiabseiso, the first woman from the Middle East and Nasser Alruwayeh the first Kuwaiti signee, to @WWE. @WWEmena pic.twitter.com/DnFbZlazQL
