The spoof article features Cena getting his Argyle Wool Singlet out from attic storage in preparation for an event titled “AutumnSlam” and going up to New England and watching the leaves change color and dropping a fist on an opponent’s head. Cody Rhodes commented on NXT resurrecting the War Games match, as announced in their latest batch of TV tapings. The original concept of the match was created and booked by Cody’s father, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes back in 1987. When a fan asked if he was upset of bringing back his father’s concept Cody tweeted:
I’m not mad. I was told. H worked for my Dad and then my Dad worked for him. They were friends. Care and effort will be placed into it.

Interestingly, Cody had been less than positive over the WWE using the name “Starrcade” to promote what will end up being a non-televised house show, Starrcade was another Dusty Rhodes creation in 1983 as he was booking for Florida at the time, taking the traditional Mid-Atlantic Thanksgiving show and making it a Televised event that was the showcase for the NWA/WCW until WCW closed in 2001.
