Ever since her appearance at WrestleMania 31 back in 2015, fans have been awaiting the in-ring debut of MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. Footage of Rousey training at the WWE Performance Center, as well as several reports of Rousey receiving wrestling training have all contributed to the speculation that she would begin her WWE career soon. Even though fans were elated when it was reported that Rousey would be signing with WWE soon, their hopes were seemingly dashed when Triple H denied that Rousey had signed any deal with the company. Unfortunately for fans of Rousey, it looks like there may be some validity to Triple H’s statement.
Not only has no deal between Ronda Rousey and WWE been signed yet, but TMZ has confirmed that a deal is not even close to being finalized at the moment. One source told TMZ that Rousey hadn’t even begun negotiating with WWE yet. For most of this year, numerous reports suggesting that Rousey would be joining WWE began to circulate. After her appearance at the Mae Young Classic tournament, it was rumored that Rousey would be teaming up with her MMA friends in a Four Horsewomen of MMA vs. Four Horsewomen of WWE match at some point. While negotiations could certainly pick up soon, TMZ maintains that numerous sources have informed them that Rousey is currently filming Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg and is not signing with WWE for now.
Primo and Epico Colon have portrayed matadors and travel agents on WWE television in the past, but the team was forced to miss several months of action just as they were beginning to portray themselves on Smackdown. A knee injury to Primo has caused the team to miss most of the year, but the cousins could very well be returning to WWE very soon. PWInsider now reports that Primo should be getting cleared by WWE’s medical staff very soon. This would allow both he and Epico to finally go back on the road with the company The report states that the Colons could be making their in-ring returns during Smackdown’s upcoming live events scheduled for this week.
