MOORHEAD, Minn. — MSU-Moorhead head wrestling coach Kris Nelson has announced the addition of Hunter Swensen of Fargo, N.D., for the 2014-15 season.
Swensen completed his senior year at Fargo Davies High School this past spring.
Slated to compete at 285 pounds, Swensen was the Class A state champion in that weight class in 2014. He was also the East Region Champion at 285 pounds. He was state Class A runner-up as a junior in 2013.
Swensen helped Davies to a second-place finish in the Eastern Dakota Conference last season as well. He was an impressive 32-5 as a senior.
The 2014-15 Dragon wrestling recruiting class includes Nader Abdullatif from Corona, Calif., Paul Cheney of Apple Valley, Minn., Dylan Huttunen of Wadena, Minn., Jonathan Lewis of Windsor, Colo., Caleb Radley of Thatcher, Ariz.; Jacob Rukavina of Apple Valley, Minn., and Kristian Vasquez of Riverside, Calif.
