Charlotte Flair has been away from the ring for a couple of days now to have surgery on a ruptured implant that she received earlier this year. An update on her current status in wrestling was just provided in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to the report, Flair had surgery on her injury on June 19th. As a result, it seems likely that Flair will be kept off of television and WWE live events, as well as the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view in July. Flair is not expected to be gone from the ring for too long, so it is entirely possible that she will return to Smackdown just in time to promote a program for WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view in Brooklyn this August.
Raw Superstar Jason Jordan has been dealing with a neck injury for months now, but the young wrestler has reportedly been appearing backstage at Raw shows for a number of weeks now to have his injury examined by WWE doctors once again. This does seem like a good indicator that Jordan is on his way back to the ring very soon. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jordan is now healed from his injury and he is expected to be back on Raw in July. Jordan was in line for a major singles push prior to his injury and most fans have assumed that he will either be returning to feud with Raw’s Constable Baron Corbin or Seth Rollins given that he just lost the Intercontinental Championship.
Two more updates on WWE Superstars who have been away from the ring due to injuries have just been released. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that Raw Superstar Dean Ambrose has begun training at the Performance Center recently in preparation for his return to television. Meanwhile, it was also reported that Raw’s Alicia Fox has now completely recovered from her tailbone injury that she suffered in January and she was cleared to return to the ring on June 18th. These updates both seem to indicate that these wrestlers are just about ready to get clearance to return to the ring, so be on the lookout for the two of them as the weeks go by.
