One of the most hyped matches for WWE’s TLC pay-per-view last night was the match between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman. Corbin and Strowman have had their issues lately, and they agreed to face each other at TLC under stipulations stating that Corbin would become the permanent General Manager of Raw if he won, while Strowman would earn a Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar while also removing Corbin from power if he pulled out a win. There was a lot of speculation over whether or not the match would even be taking place given Braun Strowman’s legitimate elbow injury. However, “The Monster Among Men” shocked everybody by returning and defeating Baron Corbin during the show.

Braun Strowman came down to the ring with his arm in a sling, and although he wasn’t 100%, he pointed out that the rules of a TLC match means that there are no disqualifications. With some help from Apollo Crews, Finn Balor, Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, referee Heath Slater, and a returning Kurt Angle, Strowman was able to defeat Corbin. Baron Corbin will no longer have any power on Raw going forward, which is interesting given Vince McMahon’s promise to return to Raw tonight to “shake up” the program. Also, Strowman will indeed face Brock Lesnar once again for the Universal Championship. WWE has already announced that the match will be taking place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 27th.
Roman Reigns updates and coverage has remained relatively low as of late, and “The Big Dog” himself has not made a lot of appearances ever since he announced that he would be taking a hiatus from wrestling to battle leukemia earlier this year. At one point, Reigns was announced to take part in the ACE ComIc Convention in January, but he has since been pulled from all appearances. Fortunately, it has just been confirmed that Roman will be featured on the celebrity stage for an upcoming World of Wheels event. Reigns will be available for the event on February 8th, 2019. He also appeared at the Tribute to the Troops event for WWE a few weeks back, which will be airing on the USA Network on December 20th.
