Mitchel Petersen of Byron has committed to wrestling for North Dakota State University following his upcoming senior season.
Petersen is a two-time state finalist. He won the Class AA 120-pound title in 2018 as a sophomore. He was runner-up at 126 pounds as a junior in 2019. Petersen was a state entrant as a freshman and as an eighth-grader.
Petersen is projected to wrestle at 141 pounds for the Bison.
