NDSU Prepares for Big 12 Conference Championships on March 7-8 at BOK Center

North Dakota State finished the regular season with a 10-4 overall record including 6-2 in the Big 12 Conference … The Bison had a seven-match winning streak … NDSU is scheduled to compete at the Big 12 Conference Wrestling Championships on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, at the BOK Center in Tulsa.

North Dakota State placed 14 student-athletes on the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Wrestling team announced Feb. 20 … Cordell Eaton, a redshirt senior 197-pounder from Long Grove, Iowa, is a four-time Academic All-Big 12 first-team performer … Eaton and teammate 157 Jared Franek were two of four student-athletes on the first team with 4.0 GPAs … Joining Eaton and Franek on the first team were Austin Brenner, Sawyer Degen, Dylan Droegemueller, Brandon Metz, McGwire Midkiff, TJ Pottinger, Dan Stibral and Sam Stuhl … Named to the second team were Austin Braun, Andrew Fogarty, Jaden Van Maanen, and Cole Witzig.

NWCA Division II 2020 Jim Koch Hall of Fame Class includes Carlson, Kapusta, Maughan
Former North Dakota State national champions Paul Carlson and Brian Kapusta, along with current NDSU senior associate AD and former Northern Colorado head coach Jack Maughan will be inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II 2020 Jim Koch Hall of Fame presented by Sanford Health, on March 12, in Sioux Falls.
