Noting that “we can’t compromise on environment no matter what the cost,” Delhi high court on Thursday asked the Centre if it ever deliberated on what impact its redevelopment project in south Delhi colonies will have on traffic density, air pollution, public health and transportation.
The court summoned records of all meetings held in the run-up to the grant of environment clearance (EC) for the redevelopment of seven south Delhi colonies at the cost of over 16,500 trees.
