Even as Supreme Court decriminalised homosexuality in a historic verdict in September 2018, the fights for gay rights is far from over.

The openly gay married couple in Kerala wants to adopt a child and the road is adoption is a tough one. It was on July 5, 2018, two youngsters from Kerala exchanged rings at Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple with only God left as a witness and no family or relatives around.

Nikesh Usha Pushkaran and Sonu MS recently announced their wedding on Facebook.

A Chennai-based LGBTQI organisation is planning to approach the Supreme Court and people from the LGBTQIA+ community who are fighting for marriage and adoption rights are stranding in support.
