Manuel Lanzini made his long-awaited return from injury in West Ham’s 3-1 win over Fulham on Friday night.
The Argentina international tore his anterior cruciate ligament while on international duty prior to last summer’s World Cup, and there were fears the midfielder could be out for a year.
But he returned four months ahead of schedule and made his first appearance of the 2018/19 campaign as a substitute against Fulham at the London Stadium.
Lanzini’s arrival after 76 minutes was greeted with a chorus of cheers from home supporters.
