The title will be in Tottenham Hotspur’s hands if results go their way after the weekend’s Premier League fixtures, according to talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham.
Spurs travel to Burnley while Liverpool face a tough test against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
There is currently a five point gap between Mauricio Pochettino’s side and Liverpool and Manchester City but they have to face both before the end of the season.
Durham said: “If Manchester United beat Liverpool at the weekend the title will be in Spurs’ hands.
“Put it another way, as there are obviously a few more details on it, if Spurs win at Burnley and Manchester United beat Liverpool and Spurs win the rest of their games this season they win the Premier League title.
“This isn’t a joke and there is no catch here. This is the truth.”
Spurs have already been knocked out of the FA Cup and with Crystal Palace’s involvement, they have no match between March 9, against Southampton, and March 31, against Liverpool.
Durham added: “On top of that with because of internationals, FA Cup and Champions League scheduling, Spurs have got three weeks without a game in March.
“In those three weeks, Man City have four games and Liverpool have three.
“They’ve got a three-week break. Manchester City haven’t got it. Liverpool haven’t got it.
“This is the first time I’ve thought this could seriously happen. It would devastate Arsenal fans. It would devastate Chelsea fans.
“It will be remarkable. It won’t quite be Leicester but it will be remarkable.”
