Having already given fans a glimpse of their home and away shirts for the 2019/20 season, Newcastle United have now had their third strip leaked.
Despite there being three months of this campaign still to go, German kit manufacturer Puma have seen supposed designs for a number of their teams next season go public.
Kit leaks at this stage of the year are not uncommon and some teams will usually wear their following season jersey in the final game of the current campaign.
Puma have played it safe with the third kit, opting for a basic Forest Green shade, with a bold black graphic covering the upper part of the shirt and white trim to finish of the badge and sponsors, according to Footy Headlines.
The famous home shirt boasts thicker black-and-white stripes on it, reminiscent to what was worn in the 1970’s and similar to their design from the 2011/12 season.
And while it remains to be seen whether Rafael Benitez’s side will wear it in the Premier League or Championship, the retro look is classy and the minimal stripes gives it a standout feel, which is complimented well with the baby blue sponsor.
While this season has seen Newcastle wear a bold hoop design similar to the one worn by Kevin Keegan’s entertaining 1995/96 side, Puma have opted for a more garish design this time around it appears.
The Magpies have revisited the orange and blue combination from 2011/12, with a graphic print some fans believe is the roofing at St James’ Park.
