Aymeric Laporte has signed a new contract at Manchester City to keep him at the Etihad until 2025.
The 24-year-old joined the club in January 2018 in a £57million transfer from Athletic Bilbao.
He has established himself as a key part of Pep Guardiola‘s side and has featured in every Premier League game this season.
“I could not be happier to commit my long-term future to Manchester City,” Laporte told the club’s website. “Since the day I arrived here, I have been made to feel welcome by Pep and all the players.
“This Club offers me everything I need to improve my game. I’ve already made great strides and I want to continue getting better and better.
“Obviously, I want to win silverware and I feel City is the best place for me to fulfil all my ambitions.”
Laporte made nine league appearances for City as they won the Premier League title with a record 100 points.
He has established himself as a mainstay in Guardiola’s defence this season and has made 36 appearances in total in all competitions.
