After the stalemate at Old Trafford, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be looking for his side to get back on track to preserve their place at the top of the Premier League.

Wednesday’s clash with Watford, at Anfield, could be the perfect game for the Reds to start finding the net again after back-to-back 0-0 draws.

We can expect goals from the clash between the two sides as there has been no shortage of those since Watford were promoted back to the top flight in 2015.

The Hornets have been on the receiving end of some heavy defeats by Klopp’s side and have only won one of the last seven.

In the last six, they have shipped 20 goals but only scored three and taken one point from those games.

Mohamed Salah seems to have taken a liking to the club as well.

In the three times he has appeared against Watford, he has scored six times.

This included four in the game at Anfield last season as the Reds thrashed their opponents 5-1.

In the reverse fixture that campaign, the two shared a six goal thriller that saw Miguel Britos score a last minute equaliser for Watford.

This season, the Reds were comfortable 3-0 winners with all the goals coming in the second half.

Watford have only won at Anfield once in their history and that was in the 1999/2000 season.

Tommy Mooney got the only goal of the game and it was their only away win of the season as they finished bottom of the table on 24 points.

The odds do look to be stacked against Watford as they have only beaten the Merseyside club four times in 27 attempts.

They are in great form, though, as they thrashed Cardiff City 5-1 on Friday thanks to a hat-trick from Gerard Deulofeu.
