QPR 1-0 Leeds

QPR ended their seven-match losing streak in the Championship with a morale-boosting victory over Leeds United at Loftus Road.

Luke Freeman, returning to the Rs starting XI after recovering from a hip injury, hit a second-half winner to move Steve McClaren’s up to 17th in the table.

It was a blow for Marcelo Bielsa’s men, who missed out on the chance to return to the league’s summit.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Brentford

Steven Fletcher first brace of goals since April 2017 was enough for the Owls secure all three points against Brentford and move up to 12th.

The former Wolves striker now has three goals in his last two games having also found the net in the 3-1 win over Swansea at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Steve Bruce’s men have now registered back-to-back home wins in the Championship.

Hull 2-1 Millwall

Jarrod Bowen inspired Hull City to their first victory in four games as they narrowly beat struggling Millwall at the KCOM Stadium.

Bowen gave the hosts the lead after just eight minutes, but they were soon pegged back with Shaun Hutchinson drawing the Lions level from close range.

Bournemouth loanee Marc Pugh restored City’s lead before the break though with a smart finish, with Neil Harris’ men unable to get themselves back into the contest after the interval.

Bristol City 1-2 Birmingham

Birmingham reignited their play-off bid with Connor Mahoney scoring one and creating the other as they moved to within three points of the top six with victory at Bristol City.

Mahoney’s deflected effort put the visitors ahead before he turned provider in the second half when his free-kick was headed home by Michael Morrison.

Famara Diedhiou pulled a goal back for the Robins with a tap-in finish to set up a dramatic climax at Ashton Gate, but Garry Monk’s side held on for a valuable three points.
