Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp once said that Jordan Henderson ‘has the hardest job in football’.
The German explained how because the England midfielder replaced Steven Gerrard, who is viewed by many as Liverpool’s greatest ever player, as club captain this makes it a tough act for Henderson to follow.
But few could disagree with how well Henderson coped during the Reds’ Champions League last-16 first leg game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
He has barely put a foot wrong as the two sides fought out an attritional goalless draw at Anfield.
