After picking up a booking inside the first ten minutes for encroaching in the wall, Costa then was denied a penalty by VAR.
Although he should have tucked away a chance when played through by Antoine Griezmann in the second half, the Spain international caused Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini problems right up until his substitution.
Costa left Chelsea in somewhat acrimonious circumstances, winning the Premier League before falling out with former Blues boss Antonio Conte.
