Allez Allez Allez – The Liverpool Champions League song that Reds fans will belt out against Bayern Munich

When football tries to make an impact on the UK’s music charts it can certainly be a mixed bag.

New Order’s World in Motion featuring a selection of England’s 1990 World Cup squad is arguably the best example of a song coming good, however, there have been some shockers, too.

Ant and Dec’s cover of We’re on the Ball in preparation for the 2002 World Cup immediately springs to mind – a song the two TV personalities would surely like to forget if they could.

Liverpool Football Club are no strangers to a tune in the charts with their 1988 hit, the Anfield Rap, a song released before their FA Cup final defeat to Wimbledon, reaching no.3 in the charts.

But there is a song about Liverpool – one that has been prevalent in the stands in recent months – that has made it into the mainstream.

Allez Allez Allez, performed by Jamie Webster is a celebratory song made for Liverpool’s fantastic run in last season’s Champions League.

Webster admitted he could not believe how popular the song has got and it’s continued into this year’s tournament.

He said to LiverpoolFC.com: “It’s crazy, I can’t believe how much it’s taken off.

“I keep getting texts saying ‘it’s moved up the charts, it’s moved up the charts’ and it’s just crazy.

“It’s great as well because it’s all going to a really great charity which deals with things first-hand at home and that’s what it’s all about in this city.”

The Reds take on Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 tonight and the song will no doubt be belted out again by the Kop.

WARNING: The video, which has the song’s original lyrics, contains strong language

We’ve conquered all of Europe, we’re never going to stop

From Paris down to Turkey, we’ve gone and won the lot

Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly, the fields of Anfield Road

We are loyal supporters and we come from Liverpool

Allez Allez Allez
